Ok so I know it's been a while since my last blog, but I have been too busy staring at my new bubba to really do anything else constructive! I'm even getting distracted writing this, even though bubba is fast asleep and doing absolutely nothing! The last 2 weeks have gone so quick, but at the same time it feels like bubba has been here forever. If I was to go back a year ago, there would be no way in the world that I could imagine how much my life was about to change.
A year ago, I had just got into a relationship with my partner, so having anymore kids was the last thing on my mind. Truth in the matter was, until I met my partner, I didn't want to have anymore kids. Life has taken a complete 360 since then, and I wouldn't change any of it for a second.
I am completely head over heels in love with the new addition to our family. He is the most perfect thing I have ever laid eyes on. The moment I first looked at him, that was it. He had me wrapped around his little finger from the word go. To think that my partner and I made someone so wonderful, blows my mind. If I do say so, we are pretty damn good at this baby making thing!
I don't remember very much of the week that bubba was born, most of it is a blur. But I vividly remember the first time I looked at him. I will never forget this. All I could do was stare at him in awe. He was finally here. It felt like forever for him to get here, but looking back it was well worth the wait.
Did I mention that he is perfect lol? Some babies are born and you look at them and think 'I hope my kids don't look like that' and then you have some babies who are seriously just beautiful. Bubba is just beautiful. He has a perfectly shaped head, perfect baby skin, everything is in place and how it should be. He is a spitting image of his dad also. Perfect. No other word describes him. I could stare at him all day, everyday.
Dad has just gone back to work after having 2 weeks off with us. I am so glad that I don't have to be in his position, and leaving bubba at home for hours everyday. I couldn't do it. I'd be a emotional wreck! But as soon as he gets home, he will use any excuse to take bubba off my hands for a cuddle. I sometimes catch him just sitting there staring at bubba also. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face then seeing just how much he loves bubba. It's written all over his face. He is one proud dad that's for sure.
Sharing this experience with him is just amazing. I never thought I could fall more in love with my partner then I was before bubba was here. I was totally and completely wrong. He has given me the most perfect child, something that can never be taken away. I love him so much for this, and it's the type of love that will last forever. He has made me happier then I have ever been. Bubba is the luckiest in the world for having such a great dad, but not as lucky as we are to have him. Life is now perfect.

Light At The End Of The Tunnell
Today Jinx has been baking for 34 weeks and 5 days. He is approximately 2.155kg's, and is 45.1 cm's (or the size of an average cantaloupe - although I would easily compare him to a over-sized watermelon right about now!)We have a mere 38 days until his due date.
We have brought the car seats, the cot, the pram, the rocker, the change table, the cot linen, packed the hospital bag, had the baby shower, and have almost decided on a name for our little man, - it is now down to two. In most cases, we are ready for him to make his entrance into the world at any time now.
I go on maternity leave next week - FINALLY!! I think my partner is starting to worry a little bit more, as a simple phone call to warn him about police sitting up the road resulted in him thinking I might have gone into early labour. God help him if I do when he is at work!! I think the fact of not being able to check on me whenever he likes at work (did I mention that we work together?) is starting to freak him out slightly.
Master Bumblebee is getting more and more excited by the day about baby Jinx being born. Everyday he asks how many days until he is here and how many days it is until he is a big brother. I somehow don't think he understands that he will get the same answer to both of these questions!
Instead of seeing little bulges in my stomach when he kicks or moves now, my belly now resembles the waves in the ocean, where one simple kick can make my whole stomach move! It is kind of insane to watch actually!
We have recently had our 4D Ultrasound too. OH-MY-GOD!! It was amazing!!!! It really makes me wish that I had of gotten one when I was pregnant with Master Bumblebee! It was worth every cent we paid to have it!!! The little dude, looks like his dad, I swear!!! I'm not the only one who can see it!!! He is perfect, we could even count how many fingers he has on each hand as well! It was one of the most incredible experiences yet!

70 days to go....
Today Jinx is 30 weeks. 10 weeks left, where the hell has that gone! 10 weeks, 70 days, 1668 hours or 100134 minutes until 13th October 2011. He is 39.9cm's long (the size of a cabbage) and weigh's 1.247kg's.
The countdown is about to start, the next 10 weeks will go very quickly then will slow down right at the end. I can't believe that in 10 weeks time I will be holding my newborn son. It's scary and exciting all at the same time. So many different emotions will be experienced by my partner and myself as well as Master Bumblebee over the next 10 weeks.
On Saturday we will be going to pick up all of the stuff we need for Jinx. I am so excited, I can't wait. I may even pack my hospital bag this weekend, you never know!
The next 10 weeks cannot come quick enough! I am not scared about the change that my life is about to take, I am excited about the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. The chapter that we will have started together as a family. I couldn't have chosen a better person to begin this amazing journey with.
Looking towards the future doesn't scare me anymore. It excites me to imagine what is in store for us. I finally feel like there isn't anything missing. Life is excellent, the best, I couldn't be more grateful of what we have.

This Week I'm Grateful For.......
Today Jinx has been hiding away for 28 weeks and 3 days.
This week I am grateful for a few things.......
1. Accountant's that actually work for the client and not the pay cheque!
2 Years ago I went to HR Block to get my tax done, and then they only managed to get me back like $400.00 of my tax, I jumped back on the 'I will use Etax to do my own tax' band wagon!! Last year I ended up having to pay the Tax Department like $1600. My partner gave me no choice this year, other then to go with him to his accountant to have my tax done, and all I can say is, where the hell has this man been all of my years of having to lodge a tax return!!! Not only did he manage to get me more then I paid in tax back, he has also managed to get rid of my debt from last tax year and I will be expecting a refund that as well in due course!
2. Recliner Chairs
O.M.G! I am totally in love with these things right now!! Being able to sit back with my feet up feels like I have died and gone to heaven!!! I have placed a request that the next lounge suite we buy MUST have recliner chairs haha
3. Hot Shower's
I know I have mentioned before my love of hot shower's, but seriously!!! You never realize just how fantastic they are until you start aching from every joint in your body! The only ability a hot shower is lacking, is to make my feet stop hurting. Maybe I need to try a bucket of hot water for that...
4. My new work roster!
I haven't even started this roster yet and already think its the best thing in the world! I have decided that working 36+ hours a week are starting to take its toll on not only myself but on Master Bumblebee. As of Monday I will be doing a max of 30 hours a week, that meaning I will actually get home before it is dark!!! Whoop Whoop!!!!
Just to mention here, that I had the dreaded Glucose test to check for Gestational Diabetes this morning, and for the record, that disgusting chalky thick white crap they made me drink last time, has been replaced with a fluro green looking fizzy drink that tastes like lime soft-drink!!!! Soooooo much better!!!!

Hospital Bags
Today Jinx has been baking for a total of 27 Weeks and 7 Days according to the iPhone Baby Bump App. 85 days left to go until 13/10/2011. He is currently 36.8cm's (or the size of a cauliflower) from crown to rump and weigh's 0.907kg's.
It came to my attention the other day, that I may need a bag packed for when I do go into labour with all the essential's of the hospital stay and supplies for Jinx. I had not even given this one thought until then, although being 2 weeks off 30 weeks. If things were to go the way we haven't planned, realistically speaking, Jinx could be born any day from now until his due date. If I was to go into labour tomorrow, I would be royally screwed, as I do not even have a nappy or bunny rug for the unborn!!! My partner looked somewhat shocked when I told him that I had only just realized that I may need this and has told me to basically get my s#&t together and get this organised before the 30 week mark! I think he may be right! Apparently he has been thinking about this for weeks! Pregnant brain much?
We now have our cot and our change table, and I think it may be a good idea for us to maybe attempt to put it together now so that we have some time to actually rethink how to do it if we fail at life LOL. Car seats are nearly ready to pick up, the only big things we really have left to get are a pram, baby bath and drawer's for his clothes. Then it's just a matter of getting all the little fun things like a mobile, baby supplies, blankets etc.
It's pretty funny that you can still get clucky when you are pregnant. Instead of seeing pregnant people everywhere, all I see now are people with their little babies everywhere. Every time I see a little person, it makes me want my little man even more and more!!!! Ahhhh!!! I don't think the next 85 days can come quick enough, I really don't!
Funny thing, on the way home from work tonight we seen a car with the personalized plates that say 'JINX13'. Maybe that's a sign that he will come on his due date, being the 13th, or maybe my partner and I are massive freaks? You tell me!
Antenatal clinic and midwifes clinic next week, and then an appointment with the GP the week after. I don't think I will survive the next two weeks without being bullied about the dreaded glucose test!!! Yuck, the thought of it makes me feel sick. For those of you that do not know what this is, you are lucky!! But just in case you are curious, the pregnancy glucose test to check for gestational diabetes consists of the lucky pregnant person (as if we aren't poked, prodded enough or haven't had enough tests by this stage) having to fast for 2 hours, then presenting at either the office of your GP or the Maternity department of your hospital, only to sit there for a further hour or so (that's if your unlucky enough to deal with Ballarat Health Services - like me, time to consider private health insurance I think) only to be made to drink the most sickly, disgusting substance ever made. They then proceed to poke and prod you with things, and extract your blood for the purpose of telling you what your blood glucose levels are. I, for one, think I should be able to object to this test!! I have a partner with Type 1 Diabetes and any chance he gets to inflict pain on my little, sensitive finger's by stabbing me with his stabby thing and checking my levels, he will take!!! The last three I have had have all been at a normal level, so this further poking, prodding and stabbing is not required!!! I would sooner allow my partner the pleasure of stabbing me weekly for the next 12 weeks then to drink that horrible crap they call liquid!
On that note (and also more to the fact that my partner has 'coincidentally' sat himself next to me to spy on what I'm writing) I will leave it there!!! Think I might go hide in a hot shower for a while!

This Week I'm Grateful For.......
Today we are 27 weeks and 2 days baking. Jinx is 36.8cm's (the size of a cauliflower) and weighs 0.907kg's. We have 90 days to go until our due date.
This blog I thought I would try something different that I have seen a few times @Our Whirlwind Adventures.
My 'I'm Grateful For.." is more of a shout-out you could say. This Week I'm Grateful For.....My Partner. He is the most AMAZING person I have met. He is loyal, funny, handsome, smart, brave, loving, protective, just everything about him, even the bad parts (not that I can really think of any), makes me fall more in love with him every single day.
Sure, he has a beard like a terrorist at the moment, and has this fascination with making Jinx kick me by poking my belly, but I wouldn't be who I am now without him! I have really seen a side of him in the last recent weeks that makes me admire him even more and appreciate him even more.
I have never met anyone who can drive me as insane as he can, but can make me happier then I can ever remember being at the same time. I know that he would move heaven and earth to make sure we were happy or safe.
He is going to be the most awesome father out there, this I know for sure, as he has already proved this to me with how he interacts with Master Bumblebee. I can't wait to see him hold our son for the first time, and I can't wait to see him with any other kids that come along in the future. He is my rock and I love him more than I will ever be able to put into words.
